Having packed the Mazda the night before, Chris and I left immediately after work headed for Rosman, NC. We arrived on-site at approximately 9:30PM (21:30) and set up camp in the dark. Since we had a brand new tent, the REI Quarter Dome T2, it was a little bit of a challenge. We were quickly settled in though, and Chris was off on her first "real" camping trip.
Notes from Chris: The ride was long, and Yeti was unsure of how to get us there - as we approached Rosman, we instead relied on the step-by-step voice navigation available on the DROiD. This was the first time that I had used that application, and was pleased and surprised at how easy it was, even if the voice was a little mechanical. Tim put together the new tent with ease - I was surprised at how quickly it went together. We quickly conceded to the bugs and went to bed, dreaming of adventures to come...
